My George Forman Grill. Everyone should own one of these. You can grill practically anything, and the cleanup is quick.

My paring knife because it seems like everything either needs to be pared, peeled or sliced and I sharpen it often so that it is always ready to go!

Cooking is so much better with my Le Cruset pots and they are easy to clean.

My favorite kitchen tool is my Senseo 1 cup coffee maker. It brews a cup of coffee by using coffee enclosed in a "pod" so there's no pot to wash. Just throw away the pod and rinse the holder. One can make 2 four ounce cups or one 8 ounce cup. There's a large variety of coffees. It's perfect for a mid-afternoon refreshment without any fuss.

I love my Pampered Chef chopper. I hate to chop onions and this makes it so much easier and me less teary-eyed. Whatever is left over, I put in a baggy and freeze. It goes into whatever I am cooking next.

My Brookstone programable chef's thermometer.
The probe goes in the meat and a little "easy-to-use " digital gadget sounds an alarm when the meat is the perfect temp inside. No more dry chicken!

The Grandpa Witmer natural peanut butter mixer is an inexpensive and fun way to prevent all of the mess involved in stirring up the oils that are always at the top of the jar!

We just purchased a Back to Basics Egg & Muffin toaster - and it's fabulous! For $29, you get a toaster that will poach or boil eggs, and it works like a charm. The removeable parts are top-rack safe. Can't beat it. http://housewares.about.com/od/smallappliances/gr/eggnmuffin_RO.htm

Rice cooker. Working full time and keeping my daughter full-time (she comes to work with me), we have lots of crock-pot meals. It's so easy to scoop out some rice, set it on the counter, and we have a fast, easy side dish that doesn't require me to be in the kitchen 24/7 monitoring it.

I was impressed by the Top 20 Cooking Tools and imagine that you must have really struggled to whittle down the list - but even so, have you all lost your minds or have you just never used the silicone baking mats (Silpat)???? I fold the sheet and use it in the toaster oven when heating one slice of pizza and I use it over a baking sheet to reheat and cook foods - especially gooey cheese items, foods with sticky glazes, etc. Nothing sticks to it and I just plop it in my dishwasher to clean. Talk about having the right tool to get the job done...you really should give a dirty look to whoever sold out and agreed to remove it from the top 20 list! (I work for an insurance company and have absolutely no stake in the Silpat company nor do I know anyone who works for them - I'm just a fan!)

My favorite kitchen tools are my Cutco knives. I have a fairly complete set now, but my favorite ones are the steak knives. I use them every single day...not usually for steak but for a multitude of other purposes.

I recently bought a chopper from a friend who sells Taste of Home and I love it! I can chop onions without crying and anything else. It even has measuring lines on the chopping cup.

A pizza cutter....not just for pizza! Great for cutting toddler's food like toast, grilled cheese, and (of course) pizza.

Kitchen Scissors. They work green for snipping fresh herbs, cutting meats, opening food pacakges. It's a must have in my kitchen. My old dutch oven, works great for meats and casseroles and is larger than most casseroles = less mess.

Pampered chef chopper. It is great for chopping up onios or anything else quickly and not making a big mess plus you can put it in the dishwasher! My sister uses it to cut up chicken for chicken salad.
